I have extensive publishing experience, having worked in the industry since 1999. I joined publishing as a Production Assistant, working on academic journals, before becoming a Senior Production Editor and Training Officer, training freelancers and in-house publishing staff. I worked for many years as a Production Manager in a world-leading academic publisher before moving to my last role as Operations Manager, supporting activities of a large, inter-disciplinary government-funded research programme where I was, among other things, responsible for editing and proofreading all programme documents and publications as well as the programme’s website.
I started my freelance copy-editing and proofreading business in May 2013.
I have a BA (Hons) degree in Publishing and I have completed many industry-specific training courses since I became involved in publishing in 1995.
I am a member of the Society for Freelance Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP).
